<descript>
The boat access coverage provides information on publicly and privately owned boat access facilities located on waterbodies throughout the Northwest Ohio Inland Sensitivity Atlas mapping area. Boat launching ramps are documented as spill response resources. All boat access ramps in the database will accommodate trailers, but additional descriptive attributes are not provided for access sites.
<purpose>This coverage identifies boat access ramps in the Northwest Ohio Inland Sensitivity Atlas mapping area for use in oil spill response and response planning. Spatial databases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products were developed pursuant to the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, which mandates the nationwide identification of sensitive resources and the preparation of spills contingency plans.</purpose>
