An edited version of major NHD routes. The stream linework was broken at each dam that acts as a barrier to fish passage.
For the entire basin, the NHD line work was broken at each dam an attributed as 'YES' reach available to great Lake Spawners or 'NO' reach not available to Great Lake Spawners (GL_accessiblity.shp). This attribution was done for all dams including low head barriers and for Salmonids which included all dams 5 feet or lower. From this shapefile you can get summaries of the total amount of accessible and inaccessible streams for the basin.
