Abstract:
A polygon shapefile representing the fishery statistical districts of Lake Erie was created based on the boundary descriptions in 'Fishery Staticial Districts of the Great Lakes', Great Lakes Fishery Commission Technical Report No. 2, September 1961. Note that these data do not reflect any changes made to the statistical district boundaries after the publication of the report in 1961.
Purpose:
Statistical lake divisions allow for localized statistical anaysis and intra-lake comparisons.
